I submitted this comment to the ‘What are your thoughts about Ernesto?’ section on the USA Today website. I somehow doubt they will actually post it so I’m giving it a home here.

Ernesto is such a cute name, it reminds me of that little cuban boy who was deported, Elian. If only Ernesto was a poor little refugee whose only dream was to meet Mickey Mouse, then we could just shove some automatic weapons in his face and send him packing on the next inflatable raft going South. Oh well. I guess I’ll go and prepare for death now.
