The Vortex Effect

So the funniest thing happened this morning. Actually, it happened on the 11th and then again on the 27th but I didn’t realize it until today. Somebody actually found my website. Which is both somewhat gratifying and also somewhat frightening. If you take a look at this blog, I have maybe 5 entries. I have yet to try to ’spread the news’ as it were and let search engines know that I exist (which, as anybody knows, if you’re a website and Google hasn’t found you than your total site value is tantamount to an crack addict in Times Square peering into the windows and wishing they hadn’t spent all their money on…well, crack. ) I have done absolutely no promotion at all. But, because I included the word ‘podcasting’ in my title and wrote an article about the rules of podcasting, I showed up somewhere. Ok, to be more specific, I showed up on this site - and this blog by a high school student in China. Is it really wrong that I’m actually enthusiastic that my first readers come from worlds I can’t even begin to understand? Then again, I can hardly begin to understand the life I have here. Whatever. In other news, the podcast is scheduled for this weekend. The first one. The one I’ve been talking about. I’m going to do it. Whether you all like it or not. I’m talking to you, China.
